Worst birthday ever?

Both kids schools are shut, having to stop them squabbling and killing each other.
    Day off from work wasted.
Washing mashine has flooded my kitchen.
Wife just diagnosed with swine flu.
Just got back from a perilous journey by car to collect tamiflu.
My birthday dinner out tonight is cancelled, and it is looking increasingly likely my fix of Fleet will be cancelled on Saturday.

    That all does sound dire.
It is not really for me to interfere in your domestic arrangements, but may I suggest that just as the Fleet game is going to be postoned, you postpone your birthday celebaration until things pick up in HG land.
That way you will have at least two things to look forward to, ie the match plus some suitable birthday event.
Postponed is always better than cancelled

Listening to the cricket is cheering me up! Might even scrape an undeserved draw.
And have just cleaned up a huge projectile puke from my better half, who claimed it's the tamilflu tablet!!
Worse than 10 pints of bitter and a donner kebab!!

If only we could swap weather with South Africa for a couple of days.
Then we would draw the cricket and the football would be on.

10 minutes and 2 wickets later, I beg to differ!

Happy Birthday, Gaz! There's always a bright side... you could be here in Oslo where it's -19 degrees and several feet of snow, you still have to go to school/ work, and there's no football at all from November to March
