Lets hope so, preferably an experienced striker or someone who has a reasonable record.
Let's hope it's not Simon Thomas who has left Palace by mutual consent
God no, that be a travesty.
Maybe Daish is after Nathan Elder after the deal fell through last time?
He's a good striker.

elder's record is pretty much like simon thomas's, he scored well at ryman level, then when made the step up, he hardly scored
He's only young, a bit of time here alongside Mags could get his carear up and running.
I still think Elder would be a great signing. The fact that he didn't agree to the move last time, makes me think he isn't Daish's man.
I think elder would take a paycut because simpson has frozen him out of his first team plans, but i personally would try elsewhere.
Any more info about the stricker were supposed to have signed last weekend or beginning of this week would be nice if he was here for sat assuming the game is on
Trev give liam a chance, it is probably difficult to bring someone in as most teams are in the predicament of a fixture congestion and they don't want players to go out on loan unless they are not in the managers plans at all.Any more info about the stricker were supposed to have signed last weekend or beginning of this week would be nice if he was here for sat assuming the game is on
Apparently Liam has a meeting tomorrow with a striker who could sign and be available for Altrincham!!! Source - quote from Roly.
very interesting lets wait and see what happens.......
Liam has said that if he didn't sign the striker on Sunday, then he should have one signed for the Altrincham game.
Well whoever it is and if liam manages to get the man in before the alty game then good luck to him.
We wait with bated breath.
Well said Stu.
Elder has gone to AFCW for rest of season
I take it as a no for this striker then.........
We don't want Magno dropped anyway.
Only room for 1 striker.
oooooooooohhhh miaow young gaz you can put your claws back in....
Glad we didn't sign elder now after reading about him on various forums, if liam hasn't done any deals today i fully expect someone to be on board for tuesdays game, i just live in hope as i don't want us to solely relie on magno to score the goals.

Elder scored one and set up the other in AFCW's 2-0 win today.
In all seriousness, there would need to be a radical turnaround to Liam's lone striker mindset to accomodate a new forward.
From past experience, the only way Ginty gets on (and does really well) is when Viera goes off..
A new striker would surely consign the promising Ginty to a seat in the stand, before leaving for a regular start elsewhere.

what do you mean promising ginty, no offence to him, he just hasnt got it, hes slow, doesnt get involved and had a realy easy chance to make it 2-2 at the end, he's not good enough for this level and is light weight.

Sorry Kieron but I couldn't disagree more. I think he has been excellent recently. He's quicker than you think, he's composed and finishes well. As Gaz states, Daish obviously feels he can't play alongside Viera and he has little chance of replacing him as a starter, so it may well be a shame to see him disappear if a new striker arrives.
I stand to be corrected, but he has scored 3 goals in about his last 90 minutes of football.
Had Magno done that, we we be heaping praise on him.

ginty is an impact player i would prefer him to come on for 20-30 minutes most games but i disagree with you kieron based on your comments. Like i said in another thread i think he has put the work in with the coaching staff and he has improved.
