'Ashikodi has 12 goal Vieira in his sights'
A bit of healthy competition never hurt anyone, longs they both continue to keep scoring and steer us well clear of relegation then everyone will be happy. A truly deadly goalscoring partnership we have here.
If only Liam had ditched his lone striker tactic months ago.
Ok, we didn't have Ashikodi on the books, but he could have at least tried Ginty alongside Magno from the start a couple of times.

See the last post was made by Hempstead Gaz and you know exactly what's coming, same old s**t different day. For god's sake stop moaning. The reason Daish is manager is you aren't is because he might actually know a thing or two about the players he sees day in day out. Ginty, and numerous others, in the early part of the season wasn't good enough to warrant a starting place hence only playing with one striker. Anyhow at Luton, and i stand to be corrected by somebody who was there, we were at 4-5-1 for most of the game with Mags on the left wing first half then Ashikodi in the second. Give it a rest, it does get tedious after a while spouting the same old crap.
Ok, we didn't have Ashikodi on the books [...]
I thought you were advocating leaving him on the bench anyway?
And I have said for a while that Ginty should be starting games.
And this was said after the Forest Green game, when Moses had signed for us. Tell us Gary, who do you want to start? Or will you admit that Liam was right to give Moses a fair run-out before letting Ginty play?
Well Dave, Moses was up on his own after Magno went off, hence the corner flag trickery but for the majority of the game, one of them was playing wide. As you say, it certainly was not a classic 2 up front by any means.
It varied in the FGR game because i felt that Moses was playing as a lone striker with shakes and magno just playing off of him and then in the second half daish had pushed shakes out wide with magno supporting Moses.

I agree. I haven't noticed a discernable change in our tactics since the good run started at the end of November. We have consistantly played a solid three in midfield (more often than not Holmes, Stav and Bailey) with two wider men supporting a central forward. The only thing that is changing is that the personnel have improved.
The trio of Magno/Moses/Shakes is better than Magno/Shakes/West or Welsh.
And the other good thing about it is that we have the players to be fluid enough to change when required. We can switch from 4-4-2 to 4-3-2-1 and back again as often as is necessary with players moving into gaps caused by the good running of others
The basis for our current form was the acquisition of Stav giving us the platform on which to build attacks, the icing on that cake was getting Moses which gave us greater thrust down the middle
This has also left us with the option of Ginty who is looking like a pretty good impact player when legs get tired
More worrying than formations, team selections and player retentions for next season is the renewals of MYFC members on D Day, Feb 19.
The announcement that myfc are no longer 'giving' Eufc money, but giving 'soft' loans, might dissuade many from renewing.
If the take up is less than 1000, that would be too few to keep us in the Conference next year imo.
What happens to Myfc and Eufc after then is anyones guess, but I reckon we should make the most of enjoying Magno and chums play in Fleet shirts, as I doubt, barring 1800 gates from hereon in, we could afforc them nexg year.
Financially EUFC is just a question of cash flow. Money in vs money out. The trouble is that there is more of the latter than the former.
It doesn't make as jot of difference whether the money in is lent, donated or invested. None of it is coming back. The shares are worthless, the loans are worthless and the donations spent.
EUFC is worth the same whether it has £1 of share capital and loans or £1billion of the same.
It is worth what anyone would pay for it, which is zero or near zero.
