I have held off buying mine Busta.

I have no anti MyFC stance but I really am starting to think that this club is going down the pan.

This could be the move forward Liam was waiting for for getting new blood into the club - none of us wants to be in this position but we are - what we have to do now is get behind the club and support them as never before.... you never know, Liam might just surprise us with what he does...

You said that three months ago, this decision hasn't changed anything.

No it hasn't but it is not helping me make the decision either Allstars.

Bugger.....this is the first time that I haven't voted....not on purpose I should add, just that I've not been near my computer for a couple of days and I could have sworn that we had until Friday to vote!!! I would say, however, that this is the first vote that I haven't had a clear view on and probably why I dithered, despite Liam's recommendation. Gutted to see Darius go, more uncertain about Gash. Certainly wasn't going to abstain though as what good does that do anyone. Up the Fleet and let's hope that Liam has a decent plan ahead to start re-building.

Well if we manage to hang onto Lance at least we'll know one of our players at the start of the season
Unless, Liam now decides to hang onto the couple who have not gone yet (if any ? ) . I really do hope that Liam has a card or two up his sleeve with regards to his plans after these two go, If he turns this lot round and achieves anything other than relegation he'll be able to walk across the River to the Derby at Gray's !

    How about this though, Jeff:

Cheer up, mate! Some things that have happened in the past couple of years is absolutely shit - and if I was an old fan I'd be pissed about those, too. MyFC can be a right madhouse. But I'd also be happy to still be in the BSP, to still have an experienced manager, to have at least the beginnings of a workable budget, to have a say in how my club is run, to have walked up Olympic Way and picked up some silverware, to have seen people from every corner of the globe appear at SR, and to finally be able to look forward to putting a squad together.

Get your season ticket! There will be football!

Oh, for God's sake. It's like gloom is the sport of choice around here. Crack a smile, look on the bright side, see the glass as half full - it won't kill you

I concur. At least we still have a club, we're not in administration, we never got relegated last season and we've a manager we know and trust...

Too right there will be football, New Team, New Dawn, New Horizons, AND a few hundred NEW supporters would be nice, Get your season tickets and get a friend to get one too, We now have a more realistic budget without going into debt, How many other BSP teams would like that situation, We have a manager, capable of producing, We can move on from here, Bo__ocks to the doom and gloom, Lets think positive and get those extra fans into Stonebridge road, More Fans, More Income = Strengthen the squad. The last few weeks have been all Shall we /shall we not sell these two players if the price was right, The decision has now been made, There is only one way now FORWARD, ONWARDS AND UPWARDS

Another rubber stamp from the lemmings in MYFC.

So a freed up wage budget and an extra 2k a week budget but no players except a keeper who must be hoping he's next.
If Daish keeps us up this year he will deserve the manager of the year award

Go back on to the Fans Focus forum and read stuff from May 2006. It was all doom and gloom then.

Admittedly that was early May with a couple of players and this is almost July with a couple of players and less cash...

    Onwards and Upwards (hopefully).

Farewell to MG and DC (if they accept terms of course!) and best of luck in all games but the ones against us!

Now, enough of this nonsense about shame for "real" Ebbsfleet fans and oh wailly wailly we're all doomed! Utter tosh.

We now have a competitive playing budget, no debt (absolutely huge with Setanta going under) and a manager with a proven track record of uncovering good young players.

If THAT doesn't cheer everyone up then the open, passionate debate, the increased interest from members (not everyone can contribute cash, others contribute in other ways) and the ever increasing donations from the very committed and conscientious owners should give you ALL hope for he future.

One last thought on the cash issue. My understanding is that the "target" of 4k included predicted donations for the whole YEAR. We are 500 above that figure and the year hasn't even started........CHEER UP!

P.S. ok, I have only been an Ebbsfleet fan since joining MyFC but make no mistake, I consider them MY team and I am a fan, I promise you that

I'm feeling positive. It feels a bit like a new start, and now Liam can build almost a brand new squad with a much better budget so more freedom. We'll be the underdogs this season and that's not such a bad tag to have. Histon did incredibly well last season and have a part-time squad - just shows anything can happen. We don't know if financially we can sustain where we are but I think we should take each day as it comes and as things stand, we have no debt, we're still in the BSP and we've managed to salvage an acceptable playing budget. We might have a great Trophy or Cup run! We have it all to look forward to. Roll on the 09/10 season

But will it be a better budget? the sale of Gash and Charles will only offset the loss in income from Setanta.
Unless something else replaces that we're back to square one.

we never got that many games on Setanta anyway so i cant see us loosing alot of money cos of them and this coming season there doesnt seem to be anyone wanting to cover non league football so everyone will suffer from lack of funds on that side of it not just us so again lets try and be more positive i know thats hard for some of you BUT TRY
