I know it isn't very important and is not high on our priority list, but it's a chance to have a look at the youngters and reserves, with maybe a couple of first-teamers. My line-up would be a simple 4-4-2.

    Lamprell
    Salmon-Read-Springett-Easton
    West-Wills-Henry-Welsh
    Forshaw-Ginty

Subs: Crooks, Ashikodi, Stavrinou, Pooley, Holmes.

Read seems unlikely to play as the FGR programme says he doesnt have a lot of movement in hisright ankle and walking is difficult, following an accident at home.

Actually yeah, Riley. I forgot about him.

I wouldn't go for a too stong'a line-up, incase key players get injured.

Daish stated in his interview after the game on Saturday he is going to see what some of the other first teamers can do and give the fringe players a run out so i would say the likes of Wills, forshaw, ginty, westy and Heeroo will get 90 mins under their belt and Jordan to come back from injury.

I am going, unless work intervenes.
It will be good to see how some of the other fringe players perform in a competitive match.

Looking back through the history of the club, I can see that we have a long and proud association with this trophy.

Yeah, when it was worth winning and the final was a good day out.

Now the KCFA have the audacity to punish people who do well in this competition.

I have very fond memories of the 1991 KSC final at Priestfield.

I was only young and it was an excellent day (apart from losing to Dover). It was the first time I had ever seen the Fleet in a cup final.

We had a great scam going with Mcdonalds trivial pursuit as well.

I'd rather see the club withdraw from it like Gillingham.

    It's not worth the hassle.

Why not, with no reserve team it provids a vital opertunity to test out players who are on the cusp the 1st team or have something to prove... plus imo its a good competetion only let down by the fact the Kent FA, unlike others, doesn't force their top teams to compete. I do believe Liverpool and Everton compete in the liverpool version and Manchester United and Manchester City in the Manchester Senior Cup. although not as big as these teams, competing against the likes against Gills, and I'm assuming Charlton would be quite enjoyable, if only a reaserve version of these teams. Also i'd imagin there would be a larger crowd for these games.

For those of you coming to the game I have covered the cost of printing 300 programmes and they will be free on the evening of the match. I know it's not a major saving, but if it does make a difference to you getting to the game?
