Request from Roca on the MYFC forum to publish this on here.

Apparently he has been suspended from this forum. Is this right?

Nevertheless he remains one of the keenest folk on the money raising front and I think this particular adventure is particularly ambitious and therefore will need as much support as possible if it is to be succesful.

Sell out Stonebridge for the Luton Game
If every member buys a ticket for the big game against Luton in March, it'll be an all ticket match - imagine that. "Sold Out".
Just buy one ticket - show the players our appreciation, show the locals we still care, show the media we're not going away! If you can't make the match yourself, donate a ticket instead and it will be given to a local supporter.

Please sign the pledge below. Target 1000 tickets sold or donated for the Luton match. This will enable us to sell out Stonebridge.

    - we can then offer a "bring a mate for free" incentive to the locals.
    - we can publicise the hell out of it in the media
    - we can put the football back into MyFC.
    - remind people what its really all about.
    - get the feel good factor back.
    - give us all a bit of hope.

Just £15 each and we can sell out Stonebridge!

So far he has attracted about 130 pledgers and some have "doubled up"

I have no problem with Roca being re-instated on here.
He made an error, paid the price of being banned, and has served his punishment.
I will pm Admin to see what can be done.
At the same time, can Alter be reinstated onto the Myfc forum?
We have often been at odds, but we have been unified in our continued support for Fleet.
Now, like no other time, all parts of the club must close ranks and encompass all fans.
Let us draw a line in the sand over past misdemeanours and start afresh.

I have got about 8 mates lined up for this one as it coincides with a few birthdays ( not mine !) so if I have to get tickets in advance then let me know please.

Put the Football back into MYFC ? Had it gone away then ? or have I missed something ?

    Cheers,

Why was Roca banned? All the posts I have ever seen of his have been positive trying to raise money.

Roca hasn't been banned as far as I know.

Edit: I just checked and he should be fine. Was he just shut off for 24 hours or something?

I just hope the club are going to be prepared for a lot of supporters in the away section. I reckon they will bring about 1,500, lets just hope the extra people that came on saturday will come back to the ground and that we get a nice bumper crowd to help the club.

Are the club going to give half the stand to Luton and move everyone like they did for the Aldershot game a couple of years back?

How many of last Saturdays 'extra' home fans come v Luton depends on how well we react to saturdays result performance wise, If we get a couple of wins and a draw out of the 3 away games I think we will see a good home gate against Luton, 3 defeats and we probably won't, but who knows Luton is a 'big' name club with a history and that alone could put a few hundred on the home gate....Hope So

    And the AFC Dons game.

    I believe so, yes.

It makes logical and financial sense although I can see why some halfway liners might be miffed.

This means I'm not going to be able to watch the first half from the Swanscombe End doesn't it?

Nothing to stop you watching the entire game stood in with the Loontown fans if you really want to...

We are meeting the police and local authorities tomorrow afternoon at 3pm to discuss the Luton game, according to intelligence reports they could be bringing 1500/2000, I am pretty certain that segregation will be the same as it was for the AFC Wimbledon game, i.e. all the Swanscombe End, up to nearly half way of the Stonebridge Road Stand and the seats at the Swanscombe End of the main stand, of course we understand why some supporters might be miffed not being to stand/sit in their usual place but hope they understand the need to do this.

Anyone else think that 'Luton', 'police' & 'intelligence' in that first sentence is an oxymoron of the highest order?

Yes, but the club kind of have to do what they say, otherwise we could lose our safety certificate or get a fine.

I don't mind giving up my halfway line position Mr Secretary, as long as I'm not pushed out into any foul weather

The segragation will start about 5 yards past the half way line towards the Swanscombe End, you will not be pushed out into foul weather, we are also giving Luton the seats in the Swanscombe End of the Main Stand.

A lot more details will follow nearer the date by ways of the media, Websites, Local Press, Radio Kent, Fleet News.

It is estimated that Luton will be bringing between 1200 and 1600

I haven't really read all of this, but if it is going to be all ticket, when will they be going on sale?
It doesn't apply to me, as I have a season ticket, but some of my mates don't.
Sellout? How much would that be..? 4,500 or thereabouts?

Yes, Stu. Good idea. We need to get behind the boys as much as we can, and none of the abusive shit towards the players that we see at home games.

Is it against the forum rules or contrary to the Data Protection act to publish what could be a members personal IP address ?

It was me, I apologise for my error.
I was unaware that IP addresses aren't show on all posting, instead of just mods.
I have removed any reference a little while ago.
Good to see Roca back, posting responsibly and fully behind the club.
On the same topic, has the war of words between Arithon, V and Alter finished?
Nobody who is supporting the club in any way is the 'enemy'.
Time to start the healing process, and dare I say it, building bridges?
