So at the end of it the only team to lose out from the Chester situation was us.

Well. losing to FGR, Hayes, Salisbury and drawing with AFC Dons at home didn't really do our cause much good either.

Points that we quite rightly lost.

We won the points against Chester.

Points that we shouldn't have lost.

We deserved to finish where we did.

Doesn't matter - you have already told everyone that Fleet wont be relegated

    No I haven't.

I've said what I think might happen. I then said, in the very same post, that I could be totally wrong.

    Try harder, Pat....

Oh and I also said that I was torn between what league I wanted to see us play in.

I like going to new places but at the same time I like bloodying the noses of the "big boys" and then running away laughing.

I'll bite. Here's a starter for ten from the bottom of page one of the 'Thoughts of Liam' thread:

HG "Weren't you 1,000,000% sure we wouldn't get relegeted?"

    HJA "We won't get relegated.

I know you're desperate to see Liam go, Gary, but don't try to find reasons for it to happen."

Sorry Allstars but you have been consistent in saying that we would not go down pretty much since the final whistle of the Tamworth match on the last day of the season.

Have you got a dossier with all my posts in or something?

I've made it perfectly clear what I think would happen, I've also made it clear that I might be wrong.

It stems from a long time before the final whistle of the Tamworth match, by the way.

By the way Jeff, even your new best mate Phil Sonsara said on MyFC "relegation won't be decided on the pitch".

Of course not but it doesn't take long to find a quote from you as you have been consistently saying it for a while.

As for relegation not being decided on the pitch, it wasn't in the case of FGR. Not such a new mate either. Two full seasons now for Phil.

...and wasn't the player that scored their winner on loan to them and they really could not afford him?

So once again (is it the third or fourth time) the carrot cunchers from Stroud (or there abouts) get a reprieve. Makes the whole bloody Conference a joke.

I suppose the FGR director, who just happens to sit on the Management of the Conference, had nothing to do with Salisburys appeal being thrown out.

I sincerely hope that staying in the BSP for another season pushes them over the edge financially and they get thrown out, couldn't happen to a more deserving club ................. but wait do I see another rule change coming?

No problem as long as they can service their debt/loans.

Well as expected FGR have got their reprieve confirmed, No surprise there really, So, If we are going to get a reprieve as several people.....Fans and club officials alike have mentioned could happen, Who are the other club(s) that may not maintain their BSP status on Saturday for one reason or another, Whoever they are, if there are any, are keeping it very quiet.
The fact that we have not had a mass exodus of players even though not on contract indicates that Liam, The players and officials feel there is going to be a last minute reprieve announcement at the AGM.

    Say what?

Haven't FGR got financial problems as well.

    Yes they have.

The rules are being changed though, so from Saturday anyone going into debt will have three years to pay off their debtors.

Being on the conference board wasn't the cause of Salisbury breaking the rules though. As much as I hate Forest Green & Sneaky Peakey, rules are rules.

If we had finished in Forest Green's position and they in ours..... would you be saying the same about us? Just wondered, as Brian Kilcullen is also in the very same board.

    Well. losing to FGR.

As an avowed pedant, can I just say that we drew away to FGR and beat them at home

    Thanks

Either that or alternatively it might indicate that it is June.

Apologies Gaspode! I knew we drew away. I was thinking about the season before last when we lost 1-0.
It was Crooks with the last minute winner wasn't it?

Yes it was - what a game, what a celebration deep into injury time.

It felt like we might have been able to pull opurselves out of it around then, but the run of 6 games without a win in late Feb through to early April put paid to that
