At the end of the season.

Roly is pissed off (I'm paraphrasing) because he thinks the MyFC model isn't working. Shame he's going imo because I think he does a lot more good for the club in his deputy chair position than out of it. Still - thanks for all your hard work, Roly!

Well thought out & expressed post from Roly explaining his postition & one it would be almost impossible to argue with: model with great potential; that potential wasted through an ability ever to find an effective leadership model.
I have always believed in the idea of a people's club, but at the moment MyFC seems like a ship without sails, engines or rudder.

MyFC seems like a ship without sails, engines or rudder.
You know what comes next.
Yep. Just when you're cradling your head in your hands thinking things can't get any worse... then a storm gathers and the bottom drops out of the ship. Before you can get your hands on a life-jacket a great big bloody iceberg lunges out of nowhere and slaps you around the head with a great white shark. Knocked half-silly you come to in a lifeboat with the Tea Hut brigade and wonder how life could be so cruel, before you wake up screaming and realise... oh f*ck.

So you've got a positive feeling about things then...

Roly is pissed off (I'm paraphrasing) because he thinks the MyFC model isn't working
Having read Roly's statement in which he succinctly states his views on the current situation within MyFC, it is really obvious that the time is up on this whole farce. The club has lost many loyal supporters in recent years and now can't even keep directors on-board.
By all means paraphrase Roly's comments that "the MyFC model isn't working", however the truth is from day one it hasn't worked. It has been an experiment that has failed miserably. The sad thing is that the experiment was on a real football club, with real employees and real supporters.
It really is time to "call time" on MyFC. Those that had anything to do with the original sale of the club to MyFC should now be hanging their heads in shame.

That last sentence is pretty harsh and fired from the keyboard of a true warrior.

To be fair, Jeff - MyFC may not be a target for much longer and John will need to find something new to shoot atThat last sentence is pretty harsh and fired from the keyboard of a true warrior.

John will need to find something new to shoot at
New board
Old board
Daish
Fleet Trust
Kenny
The car wash next door
Clay pigeons
Real pigeonsDelete as applicable John...

No one can say a bad word about Kenny.
Apart from when he doesn't shut up blathering on or singing on long journeys to places like Northwich.
It's allowed then.
He came out with a couple of classics on the way down to Salisbury the other week.
"It's raining."
"It's traffic."
Legend.

Nope nothing else.
I was against the MyFC takeover from day one and will remain so until it disappears back into the computers of those that are involved in it now or previously.
It will be great to see Ebbsfleet United back as a 'normal' football club and no longer the laughing stock of everyone that supports non-league football.
Now please just go away.

Heh. Funnily enough I do have a feeling that things will sort themselves out. In the mean time I'm trying to 'believe' that the lads and other clubs' troubles will keep us up, and also had a bit of a boost last night seeing my other team win at home. Highlights here (good soundtrack tooSo you've got a positive feeling about things then...

"It will be great to see Ebbsfleet United back as a 'normal' football club and no longer the laughing stock of everyone that supports non-league football.
Now please just go away."If that "normal" football club incorporated encouraging ordinary supporters to part own the Club by buying into share ownership & put into practice thing like the scheme where groups of us clubbed together to pay the contracts of our better players so they couldn't be poached for bugger all in the summer, would you be supportive of that John? I'd never expect you to accept it was an evolution from the MyFC idea, of course.
I don't think we the laughing stock of Non League Football on 10th May 2008, either, to be fair.

I too have cancelled my MyFC membership as of Sunday, I believe like Roly and many others that Myfc as a football Club owner does not work. I do have sympathy however for the thirty thousand people that "fell" for Will Brooks idea. There a number of MyFCers that have put a lot of money time and effort into the Club
and I personally would like to see a situation where they held a MINORITY shareholding and continued their support of Ebbsfleet.Posted 4 months ago # -
The old hokey-pokey again eh, Mike?
I'm not disagreeing with you that it isn't working, but the minority share thing isn't an answer I don't think. The club already has that sort of representation through the 1% "gift" to the Fleet Trust some years ago. For the vast majority of non old-fan MyFC members the whole point was to run the club, and that lack of actual "running it" is fairly likely to be a major reason why they've gone. Why anyone would pay a membership fee to be able to pick someone to sit on a board beats me - I'd rather give my money straight to the Fleet then.

So Roly Edwards has gone as a result of not having confidence in MyFC.
The Club Secretary has made it known they he will also resign if the club insists on maintaining a £15 admission charge and discounting the admission charge with vouchers.
Quite clearly things are not right at Stonebridge Road, there must be a lot of disquiet about the clubs management and any way forward so I would imagine Stonebridge Road is at the moment not a happy place to work in. So that raises another question of who will walk next?
Will the last person to leave Stonebridge Road please turn off the lights.
Once again thank you MyFC!

Will the last person to leave Stonebridge Road please turn off the lights.
I remember you making this exact same line last season, it also wasn't funny back then.
Why do you do it, to be proven wrong, yet again.

Why do you do it, to be proven wrong, yet again.I very much hope that I am proved wrong, because if I am somehow the club's financial future has been turned around. But at the moment all I can see is a long very black tunnel, with no light at the end of it.
