Then why the moaning? Surely that's still in effect and he's doing exactly that-building the squad for the coming season. I for one can't wait to see the team at Altrincham on the 8th

Welcome to the MYfc world, Peter!

Ever so 'umble squire......
My apologies - maybe you would have preferred not to know that Daish had signed five players.
As Joe Average punter.....always nice to be kept informed. However, one assumes an update to the official EUFC website would be forthcoming when Mr Daish's signings had become official, which would do for me.
Used to work ok. However, you dangle the strings, so you do whatever makes you feel good !Cheers,

how comes there is nothing on the official website about players being signed?
Posted 1 year ago # -

Have I missed something, have we not signed Pooley then, or has he just been missed off the list ?
From MyFC statement: "...Liam Daish continues to negotiate with several other trialists who have impressed, as well as with Dean Pooley who was with the Fleet last season. Liam is hopeful of news of more signings within the next seven days."

Just saw this on the team site. Given the list of players who were signed, I think the time frame, given the start of the season is two weeks away, mandated skipping us in MyFC. They needed to be signed ASAP.

May the good lord preserve us from you armchair managers. Let Liam get on with his job. He's forgotten more than you'll ever know about football managementPosted 1 year ago # -
liam is doing a good job we will have a full squad by the start have faith ,we will be ok i promise .

I guess it didn't go to the vote because they never felt there was much chance of any publicity for it.

Ishmael Welsh[b] was at Grays last year and scored at great goal at Forest Green. A Grays mate of mine sent me the link to the game. You'll want to fast Fast forward to about 5min 30sec to see the build up to the goal and the goal itself.

One like that in the dying seconds at Stevenage would go down very nicely.
Did you notice the average age of the Grays supporters? Are they an off shoot of Saga or something? I'd feel almost young & sprightly amongst most of them.

The strange thing I heard at the match on Saturday that 4 players had been signed. That was only a comment to me from a fellow fan who I would not imagine had any official knowledge. Whatever, it would be dull without a bit of rumour and counter rumour.
If it is true then we should welcome the lads, give them our total support and encouragement. Clearly there have been one or two less encouraging comments about Jordan Collins said on this forum. Well if he is an Ebbsfleet player now, that makes him ok by me all ends up.
I am not saying that he or anyone is exempt from criticism, but it needs to be balanced and constructive.Up the Fleet

Up the FleetIt's not a rumour Rutter it's on our official Web Site
As far as Collins go's good or bad, people will be inclined to have a go at him, as he is replacing Sasha. Such a big ask to follow such a fleet legend.Posted 1 year ago # -
Liam has already come back to the membership of MyFC looking for money to sign Shakes and Pooley. Again - no vote - just please can we have the money. EUFC's financial future (at least in the short to medium term) is tied to how many members MyFC has - allowing MyFc members to actually make a decision on who the club signs could help.
doheochai - Did people not 'vote' with their twenty pound notes? May not be a great form of democracy but the fact the twelve grand got raised in a week shows that their was some support for the request. And in any case, it wasn't an appeal directed at MyFC but also to other fans too (who, I don't know, may have supported the team for years but don't really agree with the MyFC concept...)
Personally I'm glad that Liam's starting to get new players signed up; his record on signings has been pretty decent overall i'd say. From what I've read on here, looking forward to seeing Forshaw in particular

Excellent news, especially Shakes and Forshaw. Keep up the good work Liam.

So pleased you said it twice....
I have to agree with you

Now these players have signed up for the fleet that brings the squad to 11 players, i reckon daish will sign another 11 on top of that plus send springett and henry out on loan so they get valuable experience like when we sent purcell and coleman out to heybridge for 3 months.
Posted 1 year ago # -
I'd be very surprised if he manages to put together a squad of 22 paid players on just over 6k a week.
Not really expecting more than 15 or 16, with dipping into the PASE squad for emergencies, KSC etc
Posted 1 year ago # -
What i meant was that springett and henry would be included in that squad. It be 20-22 players including 4 or 5 pase lads registered on conf forms!
