If Hayes defend like this, Magno, Shakes and Ishy will have no trouble tearing them up!

    Comparisons are difficult.
A forward line boasting Kedwell, Main and Cumbers is always likely to score a few, whilst playing Viera as a sole striker, both home and away is seldom going to reap similar rewards.
If Liam is going to persist with a 4-5-1 formation, Shakes and Welsh must start their forward runs from wide on the flanks, routing straight for goal.
Having wide men beating the full back then crossing is only regularly effective with 2 strikers in the box and midfielders on the edge of the box waiting for loose scraps.

I can never understand, if you need to win matches(that means scoring goals) teams only play one forward. The West Ham/Portsmouth game was a prime example. If you can't sustain an attack. then the ball comes straight back at your defence!

There is always the "Adam & Eve" pub, less than 10 mins from ground for your Sky requirements... They serve a quality pint of Guinness, and also have Cidona!

i am coming down tomorrow would be great if we got a hundred in the away end and raised some serious noise cheering our lads on.

I think we can score a couple against these, maybe more! Especially if they defend like that. Shocking defending, every long ball was going over the defenders heads. Im looking forward to tomorrow, i reckon we could take 100-150, on the back of 3 league wins from 4 games, cheering on the lads, and if we win, then more will go to Grays

If we play a defensive 4--5-1 again, it will be a hard fought, tight game. Chances will be few and far between, and I wouldn't expect many goals.
It would be nice to see Liam put out a more expansive, attacking formation, even if he selects the same starting XI.

I don't care as long as we score more than they do.

A clean sheet is what I am after.

    Wouldn't mind a 4-1-2-2-1:
    Cronin.
    Salmon-Pooley-Crooks-Darius
    Stavrinou
    Holmes-Bailey
    Shakes-Welsh
    Vieira

That is precisely the formation I would use , with Shakes and Welsh playing as inside forwards, starting wide and cutting in, running at the defence with pace.
    Very difficult to defend against.

That back four was very solid yesterday, with one mistake all game, that i can remember. Which lead to the goal.
Stavrinou looks pretty comfortable now, sitting infront of that back four, which allows Bailey and Holmes freedom to roam-works well.
Shakes and Welsh both good going forward, playing behind Magno, and also getting across to the wings, and attacking the full backs.
    Magno up top.

Welsh on the right, Shakes on the left, and have them cutting in to help out Magno!

Having seen the win over Grays, I left for Antwerp where I shall be for the rest of the week. Fortunately the hotel has free wireless Internet, but I don't know the kick off times either for today or Friday & cannot seem to find the info online - can anyone oblige, please.

    Cheers

I would prefer to leave out Welsh as he didn't contribute much on Boxing Day
Push Shakes up front with Magno
Hopefully Clint Easton will be fit soon to come into midfield
I know it is speaking the obvious but a win today would be brilliant
