No 1 Fleet Legend Poll - RESULTS

   It was always going to be difficult, but it was a very interesting poll with some very good suggestions, we have a winner from modern times and a winner from the earlier decades,

   The out and out Fleet Legend with 14 votes is JIMMY JACKSON.

   The Winner of the Legend of earlier decades with 6 votes is JIMMY LOGIE.

   Colin Dalton was my offering for the 1980s. This was a period when the club resembled Clapham Junction with players coming and going on a weekly basis. Colin was signed from Merstham and played for years at centre back unperturbed by new team mates.
   I believe he had a testamonial (with Ray Tumbridge ?)

    PS.... how's the weather in your part of the world ? We have had a few ( non settling !) flakes in Gravesend today.....and forecast is for a bit more later in the week.....so we await the country to grind to a halt....again !! As long as the pub stays open then I couldn't give a sh*t !

    We are well down on the yearly avarage for snow.........The greedy buggers in the midwest are hogging it all. Even Vancouver are having to make snow for the Olympics!
    The PUB is always open here, you can drive across the lake to reach it..........That's how the kids try to avoid the police!
