Here's a bit of light relief from our recent on field exploits, this is a vote on this forum only to try to find The Fleet's number 1 all time most Legendary player, Some may feel that Steve Portway fits the bill, or of course Jimmy Jackson, or even maybe Sasha Opinel, or could it be a player from way further back, to the glory days of the FA Cup run that saw us miss out to Sunderland (eventually), the younger fans might go for players such as Luke Moore or FA Trophy Winner Chris Mcphee, the poll will run for 7 days and will end at 10pm on 6th February 2010, I will count the votes and publish them, this is nothing official, just opinions of Fleet Supporters that visit this forum. I'll start, for me it's got to be the ever present and reliable Jimmy Jackson, Fleet through and through and a member of the Gravesend And Northfleet side that took on The Might of Aston Villa at Villa park in the FA Cup, always a fans favourite and a wonderful player that really should have made it to a much higher level of football, in many ways though it was Jimmy's level headedness and reluctance for the spotlight that prevented him really realising his full potential, but for The Fleet, he was and is a Legend and he gets my vote.
