As always information from York should be taken with a pinch of salt. They have not be respectful in this situation as they have been playing each the MyFC members off the media and then off the football club as they know the way the situation and they know the way we have to play things.
However I do not take kindly to the lies in your post. "...your board decided to sit on it waiting (IMO) to see if you got any better offers."
This is absolute rubbish. If this were true then I would have know about it and I did not.1) no such offer for Gash actually came in
2) an offer came in, but it wasn't attractive to Liam
3) an offer came in that Liam could live with, and the board nixed it
I can accept options 1 or 2. Option 3 would piss me off, so I'm hoping it wasn't the case. I don't need the stress.Well I can rule out option three.
They stated he and Charles had signed after they both gave their word,
Not true.
Harry, Whilst your unwavering support of EUFC is commendable, and your absolute conviction that everyone who works at York are liars, crooks and villians, can I please offer you the following aricle to look at from your very own kentonline website:
http://www.kentonline.co.uk/kentonline/sport/2009/july/14/michael_gash.aspx
Basically saying that Gash has an ankle injury which has sidelined any transfer activity for the foreseeable future.
Which I think was reported in the York Press a few days ago.
Which I also mentioned on this website to be the most likely cause of the breakdown of transfer several days ago.
If your board choose not to impart certain information regarding it's players to the supporter groups I do not understand why the immediate reaction was York are lying. You're "they have not been respectful" quote, I think, is probably the most unfounded comment I have read. In what way have they not been respectful. Other than make a bid for a player. Report to the press of said bid. Await result of bid.
Rant over.
Oh, and in the case of Charles, I believe he had agreed to the deal in principle, but changed his mind overnight which he is well entitled to do.
I thank you please.
