    Yes it is.

    I am stunned.

    The options were £8, £10 or £12.

Has it ever been more than £6 to get in previously?

With what reasoning did they vote £10? It defies sense...

    It defies sense...

    Well quite.

I have no idea how the three figures were reached.

This is treated as a reserve match by us right?

    Yes it has

    from another thread ....

Official Press Release from Gravesend & Northfleet FC

At the start of this season the Football Association made the decision to designate all County Cup Competitions as reserve team fixtures for Conference National clubs. In line with this decision it was recognised by the club that a review of admission prices for these games was required. It would seem sensible to announce a different pricing structure for these matches at the start of every season but we are currently constrained by two major factors.

Firstly we are required by KCFA rules to ‘charge the normal admission price for a home First Team match’ and so clearly any movement on normal prices has to be sanctioned first.

Secondly we must take into consideration the views of our opponents who share a percentage of the gate monies taken.

Having approached both parties in recent weeks we are pleased to say that agreement has been reached that enables us to reduce our admission charges for this game to £8.00 for adults and £4.00 for concessions, there will be no additional charge for seating.

For the future we will continue our discussions with the KCFA in order to try to resolve this anomaly that may bring about a more permanent and sensible solution.

I was quite vocal about this on MyFC Pat.

    No-one listens though.

With what reasoning did they vote £10? It defies sense...

It's the same ridiculous reasoning that increased 'normal' match day admission charges from £13 to £15. Voted for by, in the majority of cases, those that have no intention of paying it. i.e. they won't be attending.

Greedy, head in the sand and totally oblivious to the financial climate in which everyone finds themselves at the moment.

Particularly coming so soon after the expense of Christmas and with a backlog of fixtures to which the club will be expecting supporters to turn out as well?

Not often I agree with you John but I do on this one.

£10 to see a KSC game is just wrong really.

Maybe the final but certainly not the early rounds.

Why would they listen tho? Did MyFC listen when the £15 "base price" plan was first raised? And where are we with that now?

£8 is more than enough for an early KSC game anyway, especially for the early rounds like Jeff said. But £10 is really pushing it. I don't think this one was thought through properly.

    What are the concession prices?

Apparently, two upcoming home matches will be £13.

Not sure what this will achieve apart from more confusion to be honest.

Kinda proves the point - MyFC were warned that £15 would not attract fans, but ploughed on regardless. Finally, sense has prevailed and a more sensible price has been chosen. But for 2 games? What will that prove?

Apart from highlight the difference when the price returns to 15 quid!

If this happens, then what about the BOS vouchers that give a £2 discount? Will they be useless for those games? And who will know about that? It is rather confusing...

The vouchers will still be valid as far as I know... Prices up / prices down / prices back up again....

We'd like to make it clear that the vouchers are NOT valid for the KSC game because it's a cup game. We charged £10 and £5 for the friendlies at the beginning of this season, so what's the difference between that and the KSC? Before anyone says about it being a reserve fixture, it can't be classed as that because 1. we don't have a reserve team, and 2. we don't know what sort of team Liam will field on the night, for all we know he could put the full squad out.

As for the games where the turnstile prices are being reduced, we can't confirm that the vouchers can be used for these games. We are waiting for clarification from various parties before a decision on this will be made.

The difference being that those games were against league sides... It was also right at the beginning and so there had been a long break from football.

    Erm, seeing as you asked...

The differences are many - the main one being the standard of opposition... Also, the KSC is Rarely well attended - something to do with cold winters nights and the Maidstone game will be the 3rd home game in 10 days, so the chances of a full strength team being fielded are pretty slim.

EDIT - What Hannah said would have been quicker to put!

I don't think that anyone thought the vouchers would be valid for the KSC match.

The quote below is taken from the text of the original vote for the lowering of prices vote on the MyFC site.

"The only variable we can control is the price element and we would like to put to the members that we trial reducing the entry price back to £13 for the next 2 home games, £1 reduction for Juveniles and Seniors. The BOS £2 off vouchers will still be accepted for these games. "

It seems that the left hand is not talking to the right hand here.

I voted for 8 Pounds. If more Fleet supporters would join MyFC then we would have a greater influence on future decisions and votes.

The BOSS vouchers still apply for all league games but not to cup games. It was specifically mentioned in the vote proposal on MyFC.

    Therfore £13/£7 becomes £11/£6 with a voucher.

The MYFC vote followed the club's recommendation. The guidance given was as follows-

'Traditionally we have set prices for these mid-week cup matches at £10 adult and £5 concessions. This does generate additional attendance and the Club recommends this as the best option.'

The majority of voters have simply followed that recommendation. I voted for £8 but the whole purpose of a vote is that all are bound by its decision.

Has the KSC always 'traditionally' been £10 then?

Trophy maybe. KSC I don't think so.

My post above that states the price as £8 was from the G&N days, so traditionally this was £8...

For reference, Daggers are charging £5 for their game in the Essex Senior Cup...
