I have just noticed, on a match poster placed in the shop window of the Istead Rise Launderette, that the 'Fleet are playing Colchester United and Barnet in pre-season friendlies?

    Whats worse than no posters?

The answer out of date posters.

If the club is going to make an effort to get match posters up around the town, then surely an effort should also be made to keep them updated.

Just to remind you JP, its not the club doing the design, print, distribution and display of the posters - but its the FANS.

You know, those people who want their club to do well.

Yes.....come on John......no negative spin on this one......you could clean up Istead Rise Launderette with some squeaky clean, brand spanking new gleaming posters........if you wanted to that is !

    Cheers,

Just noticed your post a week ago about an out of date matchday poster. Thanks for feed back. I will check out today to make sure it is updated.

Do you want to go on the BOSS list for posting in Istead Rise? All help is welcome. You can pick up posters at the ground or they can be delivered to you directly.

HI John. I am disapointed with your comments over out of date posters. Sometimes places that we put posters into are not changed until new ones are delivered, and that is usually after the last match. Its good of businesses to allow us or themselves to put posters up without critisizing them for not taking down out of date ones. We put a lot of time and our own petrol into collecting and delivering these. Perhaps you should join the BOS Squad.

Milesy I would be more than happy to assist in anyway I can.

However, I certainly will not be able to pick up posters from the ground as I will not be attending matches until I can afford the £15 admission. I am currently one of the 2.5 million unemployed and quite frankly cannot afford the admission cost at the moment.

I put a poster up in Longfield dry cleaners today and secured 5 new fans in the process, the man working there was interested and said he'll come to the Rushden game on the 8th and bring his fellow dry cleaning mates. Maybe we could give a complimentary ticket to every business that reguarly displays a poster? Also, giving just one means they have to bring friends

I have just finished drafting a proposal on behalf of the Fleet Trust to do just that plus have a discount voucher scheme available to all home fans. Because there are potential financial implications it needs to go through the formal MyFC voting process. It should go to MyFC this week or early next week. I am hoping we can fast track it in some way.

Don't know how far BOSS goes out in terms of towns etc but this morning I had a guy come into the george in meopham and handed me a DARTFORD poster advertsing games, I asked him how far he was going out and he said he was going out as far as Vigo which is intruding on our patch of fans!!

By the way i didn't put the poster up!!!
