Just looking at the statistics after the weeend game at Kettering, although our league position does not exactly look good, bare in mind the following;
We have now played the BSP's top 4, 3 of which have been played away.
We have taken points of 5 of the middle 7 teams in the league.
We have only played 2 matches against the bottom 8 teams.
HAVE FAITH, reports indicate we are not playing that badly away.

But we need to improve our stats at home, otherwise we could start to get gates resembling ryman premier games. This is no good to anyone. £15 to watch another defeat at home is not ideal.
I acknowledged at the beginning of the season that this year was about avoiding the drop. So 3 or 4 wins on the trot was never expected. Wins at home are important, and this season indeed is going to be a uphill struggle, I still have Faith, but only to just about avoid the drop, not for mid table finish or a good cup run. God I hope i am proved wrong.Posted 10 months ago # -

Yes, and the problem is we couldn't beat either of them.

Believe it or not - our average attendance this season so far is ahead of last seasons average - 1268 compared to 1203.
The same applies if you compare the same games from last season - (removing the free 2 for 1 tickets at the start of last season) and sub in the promoted teams for those relegated and we are on a par with last season. Of course the Wimbledon game has distored it a bit - but those are the swings and round-abouts.
Tomorrow night and Saturday's attendance will tell a lot.

I think tomorrow's match is a big one. Salisbury are clearly a good team as they have a gross 18 points netting down to 8 after their 10 points deduction.
A good solid win tomorrow will make us all feel good.

I can see the fleet picking up maximum points tomorrow, & also a massive change of personel. I Also believe that we've got to turn up in our numbers from now on it, whether at stonebridge or away we need a massive atmosphere at games & be the 12th man.

We need to pick up maximum points tomorrow, and at home to Crawley on Saturday.
I feel we can trouble Cambridge away in two weeks time, and am looking forward to it.
Barrow away, i feel we can pick up the points there. 9 points from that would be great! maybe another point from the Cambridge game, so 10. That will shoot us up a bit, and get the lads going again.
UP THE FLEET!Posted 10 months ago # -
Think you are up in the clouds if you can think we can get that many points from our next few games.
There is nothing to suggest really that we are turning a cornerPosted 10 months ago # -
I know its optimistic. But Salisbury and Crawley, play well, and should get points out of them. Barrow away arent the hardest of opposition, and Cambridge. I feel we can nick something there.

I think we need to be realistic as well as keeping faith and all that - Cambridge away is not one I can see us getting much from
There are some parallels between us and Portsmouth - money problems causing wholesale change of personnel and some of new players look short of required standard - add to that a big Wembley win 18 months ago. It is uncanny.
Least we have picked up more points than them (and Liam has more hair than Paul Hart)Posted 10 months ago # -
Just keep Liam here -- you know what happened when Harry left Portsmouth!
