The Club would like to get some rough numbers on people who would be interested in the Away Deal for Gateshead, we will look to include: Travel to and from Gateshead, Travel to and from the Hotel (over-night stay) Entrance to the Ground, Matchday Programme and food.

Just a word of advice for those organising travel to this game: the train to Gateshead will be far quicker, and also cheaper (since no overnight stay would be required), than a minibus/coach. In other words, this would have to be a very good deal to encourage people to take it up.
Also, the Fleet Trust runs away travel on a not-for-profit basis. Will the club be doing the same?

Bernard in regard to your post: This away deal is non-profit same as the Fleet Trust and is intended to give Brian and CP a break from driving the minibus...The point of the overnight stay is so that people can go up to Gateshead and not worry about train times and living to a timelimit.
On the subject of flying this was talked about but it will work out costing considerably more due to: coach to Airport-flight-coach to Hotel/ground whereas trip with Kings Ferry is coach/2 drivers and we will be using a reliable company that also supply us with the Team Coach. This will be being advertised at the next few home games and when sufficient numbers are interested say 1 coach load the ball will start rolling.

For reference:
You can fly from Stanstead to Newcastle for £60 return, but you would have to stay overnight. You can get a return flight from Heathrow and come back the same day for £82. Flights take just over 1 hour each way.
By train, you can get a day return from Gravesend to Gateshead for £78. Journey times are approx 5.5 hours each way.
Or you can go by National Express coach, super advance return costs £35.50 from London Victoria to Newcastle. Journey times are about 7 hours each way and you would obviously have to stay overnight.

Even less then this in journey time as the new Highspeed will be running weekends by then and late into tghe evenings.
17mns to St Pancras , down the escalator , cross the road and you rin Kings Cross
could we get a cheap deal with eurostar or any of the train services just an idea
Please note that if travelling by train you need to go to Newcastle Central station as Gateshead doesn't actually have a railway station.
You'd then get the Metro (our version of the tube) to Gateshead Stadium.
not my idea of fun rather take the car fri and stay two nights
