    Debut here from a Yorkie.

I wish Ebbsfleet and their supporters a good season coming. You murderd us in the first half at our place last Christmas. I was surprised to see a Liam Daish team capitulate in the second half as you did.

Gash looked a very good laker that day (Martin Foyle has a good memory if nothing else) along with a few other players you had in your team

I feel for you having to sell off or just simply release so many good players just to survive.

As long as you finish no lower that 5th bottom must be your aim.

Yes we have got a good one in Barrett, I just hope the Gash deal is sorted within the next few hours.

    Good luck to your Team.

Lets be having it right York is still a dump ! Full of pikey soap dodging students and people who speak English but I havent a clue what they have just said. They also havent developed a flat football pitch yet.

Lol - yeah, right - thats why the place is always full of tourists and also full of southerners who have moved here to get some fresh air!

Take the pish all you want mate, but you might want to choose a better topic!

Course I dont really hate you guys -- it's just "mischievous banter" as they say. I just didnt want our guys to face three ex team members in one side. But if you promise to leave Darius alone I might vote to let you have Michael - even though I paid £20 for him.

Sounds to me like we have a lot in common - two clubs which have been buggered about with too much in recent years. Can't have been much fun having a name change imposed on you, then jumped on by a load of internet geeks and now cash strapped. Whats your hopes for the season - survival and then rebuild?
Anyway - good luck to ya!

Name change - doesn't bother me ( although Gravesend would have been my choice ! )

Jumped on by Geeks - No one has jumped on me.....but, in the absence of any other offers, their money is welcomed.

Hopes - a) avoid relegation b) get a reasonable cup run and draw a couple of league sides at home ( not York.....oh.... they're not a league club are they ? ) c) get some cash in & away we go again ....hopefully !

    cheers,

Gash in the stands at York.

Despite the obvious jokes I could now use I am talking about Michael Gash.

There are several points & jokes I could mention here, but that lovely Harriet Harperson has said we must not be rude to people from the North.......so I won't !

    Cheers.

    From the York forum:
"It's this season Gash should be judged on not the dross he had to work with last season. "

Now, now boys. A couple of mediocre signings and suddenly your God's gift to the Blue Square.

That said, Hooky - how someone from this corner of concrete hell can say York is full of pikeys... I hope you've been drinking. It's the only excuse!

    Naughty Naughty 190.

I am just wanting something more positive compared to last season, for apart from the run to Wembley absolute DROSS was being served up.

I think we maybe challenging to get up come next April/May time. Not saying we will succeed though, far from it.

Take another look at the posting. It does not even have the word Gash in. It's a comment about Foyle and the dross he had to work with at York last season.

The barmaid at York is fit.
Not in the same class as Maria from Crawley buy very nice nonetheless.

Off topic i know but does anyone remember the blonde barmaid from Leigh away in our 1st season. The game was awful...she was lovely.

Back on topic, If Gash goes then there a lot of positives finacially. Yes we lose one of the few conference experianced players but we will be able to replace him with two or three new players. With everything thats gone on around the transfer aswell, it would also be doubly nice if we were to finish above York "We're too big for this league" city for the 3rd year running.

Best Pies in the BSP ! Join up become a closet fan, It may be your best chance of becoming a supporter of a football league side ! Best of luck for the coming season, Gash and Barrett will make a differance for York, But we will have a few new gems coming in too, so we too look forward with optimism

I'm more annoyed about Barrett going to York than Gash to be honest.

With all the players having left (17 at last count), the Pat Gradley thread is going to go ballistic when the season starts.

Given it was a reply to another poster remarking on Foyle that would take some doing. But good try

I'll have to agree, York is a nice place to go. I stayed there the weekend we played York and it's somewhere I'd go to again.

The Beeb are doing their best to make MyFC membership even smaller than it currently is...

"The signing took six weeks to conclude, as Foyle had to negotiate with Ebbsfleet's owners, almost 2,500 subscribers to website MyFootballClub"

I didn't know the BBC could look into the future, those figures are for this time next year!

That will be fun for Gashy - not only does he get to play alongside Rankine, but he also has Richard Pacquette alongside him who was generally pretty average when playing for Farnborough if I recall (& got sent off against us at our place in 2004 just 15 minutes after coming on as a sub). I also believe he once trialled for us pre-season but I may be mistaken on that.

Pacquette will not be a first choice player and Rankine may not start either. He will probably partner Brodie.
