He is hardly Portway is he?

These pithy T-shirt slogans are coming thick and fast. I might start my own business.

    Train! Oh...

    Shovel !

Barrett is quality by the way. 3 goals in 2 pre-season games. Cheers

I have to agree with you there. Neil Barrett is class and brave. Shame we had to lose him, but that's football.

The vote to sell Gash for £55k is up on MyFC website, bid is from an "unnamed club". The club would recieve £30k now and £25k on New Year's Day, £7k of this going to York City. There's also a 20% sell-on clause should Gash be sold one; 30% of this 20% going to Cambridge City.

Yes or no, I'm not sure yet.

You've got your sell on clauses the wrong way round mate.

Gashy wants to leave. Liam wants to get more players.

It's an obvious decision if you ask me.

Surely a no brainer?? You'll still get 14% from what York sell him on for.

Mind you, it has been said before, York don't have the best record when it comes to our strikers moving on!!

If it does go through good luck to you Gashy. Not sure why youd want to move up north but hey ho.
Still with the extra money we may be able to sign up some of these decent trialists !

    Meant to say Cambridge City.

Think it's a "Yes" for me.

How do you know it's York?

The crass and amateurish attempts to manipulate the media with 'tactics' that often as not backfire?

That was way to easy. Lighten up, the anti York postings are starting to get silly now. As said before Ebsfleet have done themselves no favours at times throughout this whole saga.

As I asked you earlier, do you care to elaborate?

Or are you just going to continue to make sweeping statements without any meaning?

Children children. Can we not all get along nicely now?

You all know my views on this - I don't particularly think EUFC have done anything wrong in delaying the transfer. I also think YCFC are getting a lot of Flak from you guys for apparent underhand dealings which I just can't see either.

Either way I think it's a good think for both clubs that the transfer is going ahead (hopefully) and both sides will reap the benefit.

I'd leave it alone H if I was you......not worth it mate

    Let's look at the scenario:-

Gash goes to York ( or another unnamed club ) for £55k. Apart from York ( or another unnamed club ) not paying the balance until 1/1/2010, it makes sense for this transaction to proceed.

A couple of York ( or another unnamed club ) fans get wildly excited and post on here with their paranoid ex league club ( we don't deserve to be in this league ) views !

I like it.....so much so that I am off for a pint or six to celebrate........assuming that our owners press the right button !!

Might just add a touch of spice to the York ( or other unnamed club) fixtures this season............especially if we win and they are just mid table mediocrity !! Laugh ? I'll buy an extra round !

    Cheers......

Is Gash going to York or something?

I'm still smirking at the Crichton t-shirt idea.

It will free up enough budget to pay for 3-5 players, so it is a good deal.

    1) The beers nicer
    2) The beers cheaper
    3) You get a head on your pint
    4) The beers cheaper
    5) The women are cheaper (not sure if this is a plus or minus point)
    6) The beers cheaper
    7) The beers cheaper

The best pint I ever had was Centurion's Ghost at the Last Drop in York.

You've got your sell on clauses the wrong way round mate.
Gashy wants to leave. Liam wants to get more players.
It's an obvious decision if you ask me.

Agreed, I don't want Gashy to leave, but based on Liam's comments, the decision is obvious.

This is a good deal for both clubs full stop, not sure why one or two seem hell bent on one insult after another regarding York given the deal actually works out very well for Ebsfleet, all just very silly in my view and not needed. I guess every club has it's certain element.

Of course they do Skippy. Don't take it to seriously. Just mischievious banter. It's great to see other fans posting on here, it makes it interesting as long as it doesn't get to insulting individuals.

Sounds to me like we have a lot in common - two clubs which have been buggered about with too much in recent years. Can't have been much fun having a name change imposed on you, then jumped on by a load of internet geeks and now cash strapped. Whats your hopes for the season - survival and then rebuild?

Anyway - good luck to ya!
