Is there any truth in today's NLP report that we have accepted York's "final" 55k offer but we're haggling with Cambridge to get their cut reduced by 50% according to their manager?

Gash to York (finally)?

That's what I heard.
Not sure if he's the kind of striker we (York) need. We need someone to put the ball in the net - a 20+ goal a season striker. Not sure if Gash is that man...

P.S. - I think Cambridge are without manager aren't they so that can't be true. Maybe chairman??

It's Cambridge CITY

OH. Ok. I stand corrected!!

Hope the club come out and issue a statement soon about the gash situation, For the player and the clubs sake it needs to be resolved sooner rather than later..............

Starting to wonder whether this is just rumour now. Foyle has stated that he'll be hopefully unveiling final new signings by Tomorrow night - well Gash will neeed to be put to the vote which suggests otherwise. I would have expected the MYFC guys to have heard if it was true also...
Can't see Cambridge reducung their sell on % though. How long has he left on his contract?? The only way they would reduce the % would be if there was a very real chance he might run out of contract and leave on a free...Posted 7 months ago # -

I notice he's qualifying these things with 'hopefully' now. Once bitten, twice shy...

It would be nice but given their record I will not hold my breath.

The only thing worth mentioning was that, contrary to reports, the previous deal fell through and we were first with that news.
There has been nothing to report since then.

Irrespective of the Gash situation, Does anyone know what is happening with Ricky and Dean, This morning it was announced on the forums that the target of £11,200 had been reached, Yet at 5.30pm this evening local radio quoted Daish as stating the target had almost been reached, Surely if the figure has been achieved Daish should be negotiating with these guys to keep them here, And with all the uncertainty Gash should be involved in the pre-season friendlies too, Until he actually signs elsewhere he is a fleet player and should be involved

Gash is involved.

Thats Good Harry, Because I am beginning to think he will still be a fleet player on Season day 1, Just had not seen his name feature in the friendlies up to now, Maybe tomorrow night ?

I believe he has an ankle injury although he went on a run with McCarthy on Saturday as we saw him as we were driving down the road.
Who knows, maybe he will be involved tomorrow but don't worry, he is still here.

Its starting to sound like the On - Off Gash move is once again back on.
Martin Foyle (YCFC) has directly quoted (difference to last few posts) that the deal is again being looked at, and it is the same terms (£50k) that was offered afte the original Gash/Charles deal fell through.
I'll be glad to find out one way or the other!!

It was £55k last week.
Don't hold your breath.
We will sell you Liddle for £30k.
Everybody knows that you save money at Lidl.....I'll get my coat.

Oh yes I am saying that. There has been a hell of a lot going on behind the scene's at Ebsfleet that has not been disclosed. I would look closer to home before having another pop at Foyle.

Oh Dear, We'll be hearing rumours next that Barrett is coming back as part of an exchange deal for Gash, And just when I thought Michael prefered living in the Garden of England as opposed to the Yorkshire moors, Is this becoming a storyline for a new series of Foyles War !

Shock....Horror.......a lot going on behind the scenes at Ebbsfleet ??....and there was me thinking nothing was happening and we would start the season with five players & no Strongbow ! What a silly bunt !
Cheers,

By the way, a vote has just gone live to accept an offer of £55,000 for Micheal Gash, no club mentioned though, they wish to remain anonymous.

Amazing York still want to remain 'anonymous', looks like Liam wants it, And Michael is happy to go, The only thing a little concerning is the 25k in January 2010 a lot can happen to football club in 6 months.
So it looks like goodbye and good luck Michael, I shall vote to accept, From what I have read there are adequate replacements amongst the trialistsPosted 7 months ago # -

The crass and amateurish attempts to manipulate the media with 'tactics' that often as not backfire?
