With tomorrow's game being off I decided to look at how the weather may affect things over the coming weeks.

The wintery weather looks to continue well into next week with the Met Office predicting at least another week of it so I guess that means we can kiss goodbye to next Saturday's game v Altrincham. A shame because this would have been Alty's first League game since the 5th of December.

Unless the weather does continue like it is then I see no reason why the game away at Kiddy on the 19th shouldn't go ahead. Watch this space....

On Tuesday Forest Green Rovers are due to play Notts County away in the FA Cup.

This game was re-arranged from last weekend due to the weather.

If this game does not take place or it goes to a reply then it is my guess that as FGR have League fixtures on the 16th and 19th that the FA will reschedule the next available FA Cup date which is January 23rd. This is the date they were meant to be travelling to Stonebridge Road so we may not have a game for that day.

Unless the weather does continue like it is then I see no reason why the game at home to Maidstone on the 26th shouldn't go ahead. Watch this space....

Same with the game away at Luton Town on the 30th. This is an FA Trophy date but thankfully they are out.

The only other game I can see being affected is Gateshead away on the 20th of Feb. They are still in the FA Trophy, their game v Chippenham Town tomorrow is obviously off. The game is scheduled for Tuesday but as already indicated this is likely to also be off. They have matches already scheduled for all possible dates and although alterations can be made as the FA Trophy takes precedence I can't see this game being played before January 30th. Should they then get through then our match up there on the 20th of Feb, which is an FA Trophy date, could be in doubt.

If the game were January the 30th and they won then the only possible date to play the next round would be Tuesday the 9th of Feb, Gateshead have matches on both the 2nd and the 16th. The trouble with the 9th is that there is almost a full BSP programme that day so the only date availble to them would be the 20th.

This is all speculation, of course but personally I wouldn't book advance train tickets until I knew for certain, one way or another.

Looks as though fitness, bookings and injuries are going to play a very big part in the run up to the end of the season, and not just for us. Seven games between Saturday 10th and Saturday 24th April, anyone?

Not that we can tell you're bored without the regular weekly fix of football, Harry! This could be 1 year we're glad not to have had acup run or a trophy run from a fixture point of view.
