Fleet forced to play Thursday fixtures
    Monday, 02 March 2009

Ebbsfleet United have rearranged two more outstanding fixtures but in doing so have used up the final free Tuesday evening available until the end of the season (March 17 has now been pencilled in by the League for the semi-final of the Setanta Shield should the Fleet beat Crawley). This will mean the remaining games will need to be arranged for Thursdays which will be communicated as soon as the fixtures are agreed with the relevant clubs.

The Fleet's home game against Altrincham will now take place on Tuesday, March 31, while the Northwich match on Saturday, April 4, now reverts to Stonebridge Road as per the original fixture. The away game at Northwich will now be played on Thursday, April 23.

Thus our home matches against Kidderminster, and our away matches at Eastbourne and Histon, will be arranged on Thursdays.

It's also St Georges day....just to add some prestige.

Hmm, it's made me think twice about going to this one if on a Thursday, especially somewhere such as Northwich.

That day is a complete non starter for me. Unless we have something riding on it then there is no way i can justify using a days holiday.

Only Salisbury on the Sunday after this game, hope we will be clear of any relegation worries by then or we may need all the support we can get.

8 games already in March and another 8 in April with at least another 3 to fit in maybe even 4 or 5. It does not look good. The lads with be knackered.

Great! another home game when I'm on call. Looks like more grovelling is on the cards.

Unless they've changed it again, the final was planned for Thursday 26th March, I believe (originally 5th March but moved due to the Southern Section Fixture problems).
