Daish told BBC Radio Kent: "Do people want me here next year?".
Maybe it's all spin, but I feel it's a rather cryptic comment from Liam.

I want him here. The miserable git.
Exactly! You, me and pretty much everyone else. He must know that?

And me. I think the big fella deserves our support for what he has brought the club.
More, can we afford him?
More, can we afford him?
Well this might be the kind of angle that is being pitched here. Perhaps not cost but ambition. Liam will know that people generally rate him as a manager and are pleased with what he has done for the club and so of course will want him here next season. But he has already stated that he won't return to part time football, something that maybe we are unable to avoid. So what he might actually be saying is: Do people want me here next season, knowing that my ambitions do not match the clubs?
Interesting how he's quoted has saying "you can't build a club around getting to wembley"
I think this is the start of if the club can't back him he's off I'm afraid

I don't think this type of statement from Daish is appropriate at this point - as we are trying to sort out the finances. It would have been better to keep his counsel and work with the CEO to help solve the problem. I do also wonder if this is his get-out way to move one.
He doesn't strike me as a crafty politico measuring each word with probity and an eye toward future political capital. That gets left to the journalists. He seems a very good manager though. Would not want to be on his bad side. If he does leave, I wish him well. Really hope he stays.
All he has said is that it isn't purely his decision whether he stays or not, it's up to the 6,000 odd to vote on whether to issue him a new contract.

Isn't he is contracted until the end of next season?

Mr Daish to you mate !!!! Respect !!
We need Daish, as well as needing to be full time professional. Once again however, our league points tally is going to be strangled by the scheduling of league and cup/trophy matches for the second season running. This obviously has an adverse effect on our overstretched squad and Daish's credibilty, unjustly so. Our finances for a non league club are not too bad, probably better than most, so pledges are going to be essential.

No!
Just had a listen to the full interview on MyFC - to be honest the BBC were a bit selective about the quotes from Daish they put on their website - the full interview is actually quite frank and understandable in the aftermath of the game last Saturday.
Not surprised - the Beebs last feature on the club was a pretty poor effort as well concentrating on unhappy MyFC ex-members...
I think one question we need to ask is, If we were to go back to part-time would Daish be willing to stay?
I believe he's already answered that earlier in the season and has come out and said he wouldn't.
The BBC seem to be getting a little sensationalist with their quoting of Liam - here's to LD remaining in the seat for a long time!
I personally would like to see us stay full time and Liam to stay, i think if we can weather the recession and keep proceedings as normal to some extent, i think we may come out the other side looking a stronger club. Also IF Daish does go the PTT will happen, and what next Lance to start along Gash as a striker!? Also what other manager would be happy with taking on a board of 10,000 odd people controlling everything they do.
Daish needs to stay and thats that
We must do all we can to ensure Mr Daish does stay he is a good manager and is on the right course, Give him the backing and the tools to do the job and he will bring the club more success, As previously quoted we are in the middle of a big big recession , But our club is better positioned financially than most in the BSP, If everyone pulls together in the same direction we will come out stronger

Am I the only person who would not see it as the end of the world if Daish went?
I'm not saying "Daish out", but if he were to leave, I am confident that another person would step in. He's an ok manager not a great manager. The negitives are that he a man who has poor tacticul ability and a reputation of upsetting people... then on the other hand he won us a cup and led us to a good postion in the league. (edit: Last season)
He was given the tools this season... Darius given to him, aswell 20 grand to sign Gash, yes we reached the Semi Final of one cup and maybe the final of another but in terms of league progeress, we are going backwards.
What evidence do you have to suggest we ae better placed then most of the BSP? You been rooting through companies house and analyzing other clubs finances or just throwing that coment out their with no evidence?
Yes the reccesion will play a part in the grand order of things...but it's not the main issue here. Things won't remain as they are, and have even started to change - DD working on voluntary basis, development group an all, directors financial input, friends of the fleet - this is good and are steps in the right directions but needs to be built on if we are to stay full time.

Liam's great - I'd like him to stay!
Blinkjim has summed the feelings about Liam up well.
Like most managers, he has both good and bad points.
He is a steady rock, dependable, good at spotting young talent, and seems good at working to a set (and limited) budget.
He is too one dimensional tactically, appearing to prefer the 'direct approach' to a fluid passing game. He seems too set on his gameplan, with little imagination to change games except 87th minute substitutions.
This of course is nowhere near enough to sack him. But he might want to walk away if the club's budget only runs to part time football next year.
The board will of course have to weigh up the pros of a Wembley win and a semi final against a potential relegation battle, and ask the question "Is the team better than last year?".
We can argue about that all day, but the evidence suggest we have not progressed as we thought we would given a significant budget rise, Wembley and TV money, record sponsorship from Eurostar and the money from Akinde.
Before all that, we have a relegation to avoid.
I still think we can do it comfortably. Losing Stone, Hand and Barratt has upset the balance of the team, but we have decent replacements, who have proved they are up for the fight.
lets make up a song about daish and us wanting him to stay and sing it all the time !!!!!!!!!
I want Liam to stay also. Look at how he has helped the club to greater things. T he next thing is to ride out the storm and see where we are in the league at the end of the season. After all we have games 3 times a week till the end of the season. It is going to be a very trying time for the players and management.
I feel sure, if I remember rightly Liam has his eyes set on Ebbsfleet gaining promotion within a couple of years.
Next season could be very different and we could find ourselves, with Liams guidance, in the play-offs or even top of the league.
I'm sure that's where we all would like to see the club.
