I saw Clint this afternoon and there is some good news of sorts, his cheekbone is not fractured it is the eye socket area, he is having an operation on Tuesday at a hospital near where he lives in Romford, he was in good spirits and although not good his injury didn't look as bad as it did yesterday afternoon, he thinks his modelling career is on hold for a little while, apparently he has been told he will out for 6 weeks but that of course depends on how it goes.

He has asked me to pass on his sincere thanks to all the fans that have sent goodwill messages, he really is overwhelmed by the thoughts of the fans towards him and thinks it shows what a great club the Fleet are.

So on behalf of Clint...A big thanks to everyone and will see you all soon

I agree Jeff, I have edited my post to say good news of sorts, certainly better than it looked at 3-15pm yesterday afternoon

All in all, that is very good news. It could have been a whole lot worse or even career threatening.
Portway was never the same after his eye injury.
Get sell soon, and looking forward to seeing Clint play again this season.

That's really good news UT. Clint received generous applause when he ran around the pitch just before the Tamworth game. It would be great to see him re-sign for the mighty Fleet.

It be great to have clint on board, just what we need a little bit of experience in the side.
