The title of this is teasing!

I wish he was back with us but am happy that he has at a bigger club than Weymouth - he deserves success.

Those barstewards up at Exeter should of signed Chris. He deserves another crack in the Football League.

Best of luck to Chris but the fact that he is going as far as Kidderminster makes a bit of a mockery of his reason for leaving the Fleet.

Unless his circumstances have changed, it does seem strange. I'm not sure exactly where he lives, but Kidderminster to much of the south-west coast is about 160 miles. Hardly local. Unless he lives slightly further north, Bristol-way in which case it would make more sense.

    for Kidderminster Harriers.

    Not a done deal apparently - http://www.dorsetecho.co.uk/sport/4149607.Time_is_ticking/

while there are several teams chasing the services of Chris McPhee with Kidderminster Harriers believed to be the front runners.

I'm sure Liam and Dave have been following this (and situations at other clubs) quite thoroughly and we won't see the outcome of this until "gameday" (on the field). We're all mushroom's when it comes to signings!!!

makes a bit of a mockery of his reason for leaving us imo. Surely rushden is farther to travel.

What a mean spirited thread this has turned out to be, not by all but by some.

Chris Mcphee gave his reasons for leaving us at the end of his contract, he kept to his word and signed for a club much nearer to the area he lives.
I think most would agree that if Weymouth had not got themselves into trouble he would still be there.
We can only speculate on his personal circumstances but work is harder to come by in the South West particularly in the current economic climate, Chris may have a mortgage to help pay maybe his wife has lost her job? We don’t know and I really don’t think Chris has to issue an explanation to anybody.
All our circumstances have changed over the last 9-10 months for better or worse.
Can we not just wish him well in what must have been a difficult situation for all Weymouth players.
How long must he keep to what he said to satisfy the views of some that do not appear to live in the real world?

Having spent many happy Saturday lunchtimes sitting on the M25 between the A3 and M23, take it from me a trip up the M5 from Devon to Kiddie is a breeze.

From Torquay to the M5 at Exeter, is approx 20 miles, then it's roughly 130 miles straight up the M5. Depending when you travel, the area around Bristol can be slow.
Much easier than driving to Kent.

If you look again I was not being mean spirited by wishing Chris the best of luck but what he said is a fact and it also is a fact that he will now travel further. It was just a comment and nothing malicious was intended.
Why 'Andanotherthing' is getting so uptight and getting rude himself is beyond me - but it takes all sorts.....!!

He hasn't got the M25 to deal with, Anyway he is a top player, a rare breed and in certain respects thay can please themselves. All I want is a team of Chris McPhees

He is a top player. Obviously can please himself (we all can). If the club didn't approach him then we can't moan about him not coming to us.

i bet his wife feels bad!!!!! he's only at kiddy tilll end of the season why not try then? and also lee phillips has no club why we not trying to get him down at sbr yeah maybe the wages will be to much with another player so why not let slatter macca french pooley judge and hawkins go yeah i no some of these have done well for the club in the past but we got to look to the future and are they realy going to get in to the team?

Wages would definitely be a problem with Lee Philips & although I rate him as a player, I just think the prospect of him coming here it is too unrealistic. I certainly wouldn't trade 6 players for him! To get rid of 6 players at this stage of the season with the fixture congestion is just folly, we need adequate cover in all positions. Also on that- all of the players you mention are on contracts, it would cost us money just to release them, so we'd have to find someone interested to take them off our hands.

We can't let Macca go, he is the heart of our team, ok I realise that he hasn't played for ages but he remains a player of great influence, not to mention his coaching at the club. French I believe is still a member of the PASE team. Pooley could go I suppose, if Crooks stays a while longer. Judge maybe, although it seems that he's higher in LD's pecking order than Ibe at the moment. We may be getting some money back already for Hawkins whilst he's on loan, if so it's beneficial for us being ale to recall him if we're short on cover. It would be sad to see Slatter depart also.

yeah ok well macca stay i understand that and he's a great servent to this club but as for pooley he aint up to it and wont be a miss even with the pile up and as for slatter i like him nice lad but we play better without him because it alows either ricky or mooro to play on the right who are by far much better players

Really? Not necessarily a first-choice, certainly, but he put in some solid performances when we were a bit short at the back (e.g. Barrow away). Besides, we'll really need all the back-up we can get when we're playing three times a week.

As for Phillips, some realism is needed - but at least you haven't followed certain posters' lead of virtually suggesting the wholesale purchase of Histon's entire first team squad.
