Chester have been officialy wound up. It's weird trawling their forum with all their fans being ecstatic but they are for good reason.

I'm not sure I want to trawl their forum.
It would be like reading about a car crash.Posted 4 months ago # -
Congratulations to them.
I hope they succeed with the AFC thing.

I really wish any club well when attempting to arise from the ashes of a burnt out club.
It will take time - as it has done for Wimbledon - but the results of hard work and dedication from a loyal fanbase are there for all to see.Posted 4 months ago # -
Although a sad thought, at the end of the day it is what they appear to of wanted, so good luck to them.

And plus, it confirms I and a handful of fellow travelling Fleet fans officially saw Chester City FC's last ever match. Something to tell the grandkids and all that.

The footballs being kicked onto the pitch during the game was emotional.

Does it count though?
Was the last 'official' match not the final match of last season as the records for that one stand?
It's pedantry gone mad!

Statistically not, indeed - but indisputably the last match played out by them, whether it counted for anything or not, so I'm claiming it.

I have photos of their last game, epic.
I was looking through them the other day and all the balls had "Vaughan out" written across them.
