Does anyone else have the feeling that with the bids for DC and MG and the probability of bids for our other contracted players there is a chance we may sell all out full time players and end up part time again?
Or is it just me being paranoid..?

hope not dude but now u have me thinking
The club will sell players if a majority of the owners think the price is right. Personally, I think the price is very very wrong for both Gashy and Darius. Is there a chance we'll sell? Sure. But then if so the up-side is that the playing budget will rise and there will be more weekly playing budget to spend - why would that increase the chance of going part-time?
Think it's inevitable with the (albeit rising a tad) wages budget that's been set that the club will go part-time. It would therefore probably make sense to sell all the players on full-time contracts - as daytime training sessions will be likely scrapped, we'd just be paying them to sit at home! Think we can hold out for better prices though, particularly re Darius.
So as far as I can make out. We have a couple of thousand max 35 pounders, some who may have never seen these players play, voting on wether they should stay or go with no prior knowledge of the managers intensions or the implications towards the playing budget.....were talking about the best players we have left!!.............I hope Im wrong!!
You're wrong on the numbers Dave as it is about nine and a half thousand
Sorry Jeff i should have said "a couple of thousand max 35 pounders who can be bothered or are motivate enough to vote"
Ah fair enough.
Given the feverish levels of debate on there over the last couple of days, it will be interesting to see how many vote on these offers.
I would guess it would be no more than who voted for Daish, after all wasn't that the most important decision of the season the 70% couldn't be bothered to vote for.
What percentage of posters on this forum voted?
I suspect 100% or thereabouts of the MyFC members who post here and 0% (thats nil %) of those who can't be bothered or aren't motivated enough to have a say in how their club is run.
Has Darius' value diminished by half since we signed him? No. Therefore, he must be kept
OVER 2,500 voted on the Liam vote, one which was a realitively short one of 3 days, 2 of those being a weekend. A longer vote would have got a higher turnout, but it was better to get a decision sorted.
OK silly question time, Does voting cost MYFC Money? if so roughly how much? (i do doubt it costs as i assume it comes out of the running costs)
The logic in my thinking is, can the board not recommend transfers or sales, rather than every decision being voted on, If a club makes a silly bid for a Player, IE as in the Darius & Gash scenario. surely it need not go to a vote until a final decision has to be made? rather than members getting fed up with votes that are a absolute waste of time, and will in the end pee people off, and get in the way of more serious votes, than need to grab voters interests?
Did anyone here Tim from MYFC on Talk Sport this afternoon???
His tone suggested that if the player thought the buying club was a good career move, they would not stand in the players way.
I know we need to boost our players budget!
Is selling off all our contracted players, the right way. How desperate are we as a football club? Because that's how it looks to me. If Myfc let Darius go just to generate cash I promise to you all that I will NOT BE RENEWING MY membership to it.
It is scandalous that we are threatened to loose the only 3 professional players. I haven't forgot about our 2 pase players who put their faith and trust in us when they signed up for us.
5 signed if we loose Gash, we may as well loose Darius and Lance. Then watch how we loose followers.
WHAT A LOAD OF CRAP.

the general feeling on the thread is that both offers should get rejected.... of course we dont know about the silent majority, but there are alot of new names posting and they are saying no to the offers which is promising....
I dont think the members would do anything to hurt or even damage the club, we have its best interests at heart, even if we dont show it all the time.
I think the overall feeling is that we need a core in the team atm we have that, if we get rid of that then it will be a disaster with a whole new team who have never played with eachother before OK there will be 6 players on that pitch who havent played with eachother but at least there will be 5 who have and have been instrumental in the season just gone and i think they will be the key to our succes and of course LD getting the balance right....If LD wants a player will MYFC have to vote on it? This could take a long time and delay proceedings + the fans havent seen what Liam has seen in the player so how can there be a vote?
